RANGE SAFETY COURSE
9 HOUR CERTIFICATION CLASS FOR $80.00
$63 class fee + $17 training materials
(an additional $25 must be paid separately to the NRA for processing
your certification)
Course Goal is to develop NRA Certified Range
Safety Officer with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to
organize, conduct and supervising safe shooting activities and range
operations. The course is conducted in a classroom at Champion Arms in
Kent, Washington. The Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles
and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefing; emergency
procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety
Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide.
This certification is require by Boy Scouts of America prior to any
range shooting, in addition to Instructor Certification in Rifle or
Shotgun and for Adventure Scouts Pistol
